Lady luck has abandoned me
Lit up my eyes now I cannot see
Showed me her prize but she lied to me
Now I'm stuck in my misery
You walk and talk like you know her
Spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder
You think you're shining bright while your world grows cold
Riding high on your lucky streak
But that lucky life it made you weak
Digging that hole deeper and deeper
Now it's time to face...
Riding high on your lucky streak
But that lucky life made you fucking weak
Digging that hole deeper and deeper
Now it's time to face...
Lady Luck slipped through my grasp
Plagues my mind haunts my past
She left me hungry starving for more
She tore my heart out and settled the score
You walk and talk like you know her
Spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder
You think you're shining bright
While your world grows colder
Riding high on your lucky streak
But that lucky life it made you weak
Digging that hole deeper and deeper
Now it's time to face...
Riding high on your lucky streak
But that lucky life made you fucking weak
Digging that hole deeper and deeper
Now it's time to face
The reaper
This here is some thwompin ridonk slam, heavy on the brutality. Now, ‘brutal’ is a played out word in death, but in this case is pure. There’s some bass drops that could possibly blow out your asshole. Also, why not have a trap beat lead into earth tremor riffing? I needed that. Imagery and song titles are great. Opening track title “Insectile Nasogastric Intubation“ shows that the vocalist is a wordsmith and also most likely has the medical glossary open. The production is top notch. This hits. Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
Ignorant in the best way hardcore-influenced death metal for those who like to windmill in a cloud of smoke. So good even this straight edge kid could be enticed. If you liked the attitude of the first Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza album, come see this. Shoutout to Aftershock reviews for the introduction. Luke
